Exhibitors and Attendees
The International Housewares Association (“IHA”) recognizes any data related to an identifiable individual as “Personal Identifiable Information” or “PII” subject to its
Privacy Policy.
Depending on how the user interacts with IHA, IHA collects different types of PII. Identifiers that IHA may collect from the user include their name, username, e-mail address, mailing address,
telephone number, and payment information (if products or services are purchased from IHA).
IHA uses the individual’s PII in several ways, including: 1.) to facilitate communications between IHA, exhibitors and all attendees; 2.) to manage their account and provide member-related services;
3.) to provide/communicate services for The Inspired Home Show (“the Show”); 4.) to share with third-parties to enhance registration, housing and conduct marketing for the Show; and 5.)
to gather analytical data to enhance the users’ experience at the Show. There is other information that IHA collects automatically when a user visits IHA’s website using cookies or similar
technologies such as their IP address, browser type, and access times. See the
Cookie Policy on IHA’s website for more information.
Lead-Retrieval Scanning
Show attendees have the choice to provide or withhold consent to share PII with exhibitors at the Show. If an attendee permits an exhibitor to scan the bar code on their registration badge
for lead-retrieval purposes, the attendee is providing opt-in consent to CompuSystems, IHA’s registration company, to 1.) provide the attendee’s PII to the exhibitor (which CompuSystems does
in a secure fashion); and 2.) to receive communications from the exhibitor. The attendee can opt-out of having CompuSystems provide PII to an exhibitor and receive communications from the
exhibitor by declining to have the exhibitor scan their badge.
Event Scanning
If a user attends any Show programs, including keynotes or general sessions, lounges or networking events, IHA may require the badge to be scanned as a requisite for attending the function.
Allowing the badge to be scanned is their consent to having PII shared with Show management and IHA partners as outlined in IHA’s
Privacy Policy.
Consent
By clicking on the box indicating that "I have read and agree to the policies above", you agree to IHA’s
Privacy Policy and you agree that allowing your badge to be scanned by
an exhibitor is opt-in consent.
Consent is required to continue the registration process.
If you receive an unauthorized email from an exhibitor, contact the exhibitor directly to remove your name from its distribution list. You may also alert IHA at
